Morning Preparation
Noralyn and Ramūnas spent the morning of their wedding day getting ready separately, each surrounded by some of their closest people. Ramūnas was preparing with his parents, while Noralyn shared the morning with her friends, who helped with all those little finishing touches — the dress, the shoes, and everything in between.
Ramūnas’ mum somehow managed to be part of both mornings, helping both newlyweds get ready while doing her very best to keep all those happy tears in. Her excitement for the two of them was impossible to miss, and made the morning feel even more special.
Before heading to the ceremony, Noralyn and Ramūnas also took a quiet moment to write down their vows. They had already prepared them beforehand, but writing them out again that morning became a lovely little pause in the middle of all the excitement — almost like rehearsing the words one last time before saying them to each other for real. And, of course, it made for such a sweet part of their wedding morning to photograph.

The reception began with loud applause as Noralyn and Ramūnas made their entrance and were welcomed by all their guests. Before the evening properly began, they also included the traditional Lithuanian bread and salt ritual — a lovely little nod to Ramūnas’ heritage and a meaningful way to start the celebration.
Soon after, it was time to open the dance floor with their first dance. Noralyn and Ramūnas had prepared a few slow-dance moves beforehand, which made the moment feel both relaxed and a little extra special. One of my favourite parts came afterwards, when we got to hear Noralyn and Ramūnas’ love story — how they first met, how their relationship grew, and how it eventually turned into the strong bond they share today. It was such a personal and engaging part of the evening, and definitely something worth considering if you’d like your wedding reception to feel a little more intimate and meaningful.
Quick getaway for a Golden Hour photoshoot
Golden hour was always part of the plan, but with Lithuanian weather, I usually tell my couples the same thing: put it in the timeline, but never expect it to actually happen. You simply never know what the sky will decide to do.
But on this day, it was absolutely breathtaking — honestly, the kind of golden hour you could only wish for. The moment I noticed the light starting to turn, I didn’t hesitate to suggest a quick escape for a few portraits. Chances like this are rare, and Noralyn and Ramūnas were more than happy to take it.
We didn’t need much time or a complicated setup. Luckily, there was a beautiful wheat field right next to the venue, so we simply stepped away from the reception for a little while and followed the light. That short getaway added so many warm, golden photographs to their gallery — and was absolutely worth stealing a few minutes from the evening for.
Cake Cutting & Fireworks
For midnight, Noralyn and Ramūnas wanted to add a little something special to mark the moment — and they definitely did. The celebrations started with a sparkler walk, followed by the cake cutting surrounded by their guests.
Their cake choice was beautifully traditional: a tree cake, also known as Baumkuchen, decorated with the flags of their home countries — Lithuania and the Philippines. Such a simple detail, but a lovely way to bring both backgrounds together in one little wedding-day accent.
And then came a surprise for everyone: a fireworks show. Apart from being an incredible way to end the evening, it also gave us the perfect backdrop for a few more portraits. But the best part was simply watching Noralyn and Ramūnas react to it all — those completely natural smiles, and excitement made some of my favourite photographs from the night.
